Privacy policy

Who we are

Voltix Co is the trading name of KM Shaw Pty Ltd (ABN 94 698 719 256), a licensed electrical contractor based in Gladstone, Queensland (QLD Electrical Contractor Licence 1513812). In this policy, "we" and "us" means Voltix Co.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and do the work:

• Your name, phone number, email address and suburb or job address.
• Details about the job, including your preferred timing and any photos or documents you send us.
• For rental properties, the tenant contact details a property manager gives us to arrange access.
• Business details if you contact us on behalf of a company or agency.
• If you reach us from an online advertisement, the click identifier and campaign labels attached to the link you followed. These are stored with your request so we can tell which advertising leads to enquiries.

This comes from our online job request page, the request form on our advertising landing page, phone calls, emails, text messages and work orders from property managers. Calls to our business number may be answered by a call-answering service acting on our behalf.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to show us how visitors find and use the site, such as which pages are viewed and whether someone taps our phone number or clicks through to request a job. We use this in aggregate to improve the site; it isn't used to identify you by name. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

When we advertise on Google, Google's tag also records that a job request or phone tap followed an ad click, so we can measure whether the advertising works. We don't send your name or contact details to Google for this.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, and to quote, schedule and complete the work.
• To send invoices, certificates of compliance and other job paperwork.
• To keep the records we're required to keep as a licensed electrical contractor.
• To improve our website and services.

We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the business, with service providers such as our online job request and job management system, email and calendar hosting, accounting software, text messaging and call answering. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it once we no longer need it for business or legal reasons.
